Easy to make and digest, smoothies offer a simple way to get the protein you need to build muscle, the carbs you need to restore glycogen and the antioxidants needed to help fight inflammation. When consuming a smoothie post workout ensure the mix contains all three macronutrients: protein, carbohydrates and fat. Ingredients can include green vegetables or fruit, protein such as coconut yoghurt, silken tofu or a protein powder and a liquid such as coconut water, juice or a non-dairy milk. We always blend our smoothies with ice for that extra chilled feeling.

Cacao Berry Smoothie
Serves 1-2 people
200ml oat milk (or plant milk of choice)
1 medium banana
10g maca powder
5g shredded coconut
15g raw cacao nibs
10g chia seeds
3g açai powder
20g protein butter (or nut butter of choice)
15g hemp protein
6-8 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
