PLANTED is about educating and challenging you to think further about your food buying and eating habits, and how you view food when it comes to fitness.
Quite the gathering joined us for a night of nourishment with a delicious two course raw, organic and biodynamic meal by Yoko at Shokuiku, while Amanda discussed her journey towards plant based eating, and together with being a long distance/ultra marathon runner, how this has impacted her fitness and training regime.
Amanda is passionate about showing people how plant based diets can provide adequate fuel, often being asked by her food coaching clients about how she gets enough protein, good fats, calcium, omega 3’s and iron. Amanda is a true example that no matter your food preferences, that plant power is truly incredible – this also goes for those who are ‘plant curious’, and still want to include meat, fish and animal products in their diet.
So no matter your lifestyle or food preferences, Amanda will inspire you to look into the world of plant power and remove the common thought that plant based eating doesn’t provide what your body needs.
Those who loved this event were:
- ‘plant curious’ – i.e. wanted to know more about a full plant based diet, as well as including more plant based meals and raw in your diet
- wanted to know how a diet rich in plant based eating can be enough to fuel your fitness requirements
- inspired to make changes in their diet as it stands today, and wanted to know how to do it without becoming bored of the same raw and veg based meals, over and over.
